What Our Seminars Are Based On
Our seminar is designed to deepen clinical professionals’ understanding of the unique psychosocial health determinants and disparities that uniquely affect LGBTQ+ populations.
Through a data-driven approach, participants explore key psychological and social factors influencing LGBTQ+ health outcomes and disparities, including mental health, minority stress, intersectionality, and the impacts of stigma. The seminars also offer practical tools for recognizing and addressing intrinsic biases, ensuring providers are equipped to deliver respectful, culturally competent care. By equipping providers with these skills, we ensure they are prepared to deliver care that not only honors the identities and experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals but also actively works to eliminate health disparities, creating a more equitable healthcare environment where every patient receives the understanding and respect they deserve.
